Seng Earns Boise State Athlete of the Week Honors

March 19, 2018 BOISE, Idaho - Freshman first baseman Alison Seng earns Boise State Athlete of the Week honors after batting .800 last week as the Broncos went 5-0, including a sweep of Utah State to open up Mountain West play.
Seng was 12-for-15 at the plate over the five-game stretch, tallying eight RBIs, one home run, three doubles, for eight total bases. She also scored seven runs. She hit a home run in the first game of a doubleheader against Utah Valley, finishing the day a perfect 7-for-7 at the plate.
The Garden Grove, Calif., native added a stolen base off one attempt and had a perfect fielding percentage with 14 putouts at first base.
Seng also hit a two RBI single in the fifth inning of the second game against Utah State to help Boise State turn a five-run deficit at the start of the inning into an eight-run lead by the end.
The Broncos are back in action this week as they return home to Dona Larson Park for a three-game series vs. San Jose State.
