Ostrander Named Boise State Athlete of the Week

April 2, 2018 BOISE, Idaho â€" Redshirt sophomore Allie Ostrander had a record-setting weekend, running the fastest time in the world this season in the 3,000m steeplechase at the Stanford Invitational, earning her Boise State Athlete of the Week honors.

The Alaska native won the event at the prestigious Stanford Invitational with a time of 9:38.57, setting a new meet record as she ran the fastest time in the world this season in the event. Her performance was the 14th-fastest time in NCAA history and the third-fastest time in Mountain West history.

Next up for Bronco track and field is a trip to Arizona State for the Sun Angel Invitational April 6-7. The Broncos will then head to southern California for the Mt. SAC Relays, taking place April 19-21.
