Bird Announces 2018-19 Women's Golf Schedule

BOISE, Idaho – The Boise State women's golf team will compete in 10 tournaments in their preparation for the 2019 Mountain West Women's Golf Championship, head coach Nicole Bird announced on Wednesday.
The Broncos will compete in five fall tournaments on the season, beginning with the Hobble Creek Classic, Sept. 10-11. Following their season debut in Utah, the team will make return appearances at the Ptarmigan Ram Classic (Sept. 17-19), the Rose City Collegiate (Oct. 1-2) and the Pat Lesser Harbottle Invite (Oct. 15-16).
Boise State will close out the fall with a trip to Santa Ana, Calif. for the UC Irvine Invitational, Oct. 29-30. The tournament will be held at the Santa Ana Country Club.
Following a two-month hiatus from competition, the Broncos will return to action at the Battle of the Rock, Feb. 11-12, at the Oak Quarry Golf Club in Riverside, Calif. The team will then compete at the Rio Verde Collegiate Invite (Feb. 22-24), hosted by Western Michigan, in Rio Verde, Ariz.
The Broncos will compete twice in March, first at the BYU at Entrada Classic (March 11-12), before taking a trip to the Bay Area for the Meadow Club Women's Collegiate (March 18-19), at the Meadow Club in Fairfax, Calif.
The regular season will conclude with the Cowgirl Classic, April 8-9, in Maricopa, Ariz.
For the seventh-consecutive season, the Mountain West Women's Golf Championship will be held at the Mission Hills Country Club in Rancho Mirage, Calif. The conference championship will be held April 15-17.
The postseason will continue with the NCAA Regional Championships being held at a to be determined site (May 6-8), followed by the NCAA National Championship in Fayetteville, Ark. (May 17-22).
Boise State returns all letter winners from last season, while adding senior transfer Tara Finigan from Portland State, as well as freshman Cora Mickelsen from Sandy, Utah.
