Perry Notches Second Top-10 Finish

LAKEWOOD, Wash. - Junior Lexi Perry claimed her second top-10 finish of the season, climbing two spots and into a tie for 10th in Tuesday's final round at the Pat Lesser Harbottle Invite. Perry overcame an early double bogey and bogey to collect three birdies over the final 12 holes and card a 74, putting her at 3-over (74-71-74=219) for the tournament.
Junior Nicole Suppelsa shot 76 for the third-straight round, finishing the tournament 12-over (76-76-76=228) and tied for 47th. Redshirt senior Ivane Helias had her best round of the tournament, carding a 77, to finish at 18-over (79-78-77=234), while senior Valentine Lacaze (77-78-87=242) and sophomore Cora Mickelsen (89-84-83=256) wrapped up their final rounds Tuesday.
As a team, the Broncos finished at +55 (306-303-310=919) and in 16th place.
"I thought Lexi did an excellent job staying focused after a tough first few holes and making a few birdies to get back on track. Two top-10 finishes this fall is a great accomplishment," said Boise State head coach Nicole Bird. "As a team, we know what we need to continue to work on after this week. We have one more tournament this fall and a chance to go into the break on a good note."
Gonzaga swept the team and individual titles at the event. In the team competition, the Bulldogs finished at -4 (290-278-292=860), while Quynn Duong took medalist honors at -7 (69-69-71=209).
Boise State will wrap up the fall portion of its 2019-20 season Nov. 4-5 at the Idle Hour Collegiate Championship in Macon, Ga.
