MACON, Ga. - Boise State women's golf wrapped day one at the Idle Hour Collegiate Championship Monday, finishing the day in 14th place at +55 (313-318=631).
Junior Lexi Perry (76-79=155) and freshman Taylor Koch (78-77=155) lead the Broncos at +11, each tied for 32nd on the individual leaderboard.
Boise State struggled with big numbers throughout the day, as no golfer shot better than four-over in either of the rounds. Perry's 76 in the opening round was the low for the day for the team.
Nicole Suppelsa (77-82=159) was third amongst the lineup at +15, with redshirt senior Ivane Helias (83-80=163) at +19 and freshman Elena Pany (82-86=168) at +24.
Sophomore Cora Mickelsen, competing as an individual entry, shot rounds of 86 and 81 to finish at +23.
"We had too many big numbers again today, and double bogeys really hurt us," said Boise State head coach Nicole Bird. "Tomorrow is our last competitive round of the fall, so we'll reset mentally tonight, and try to go into the break with some low rounds."
Charlotte leads the team competition at 1-under (290-285=575) while on the individual leaderboard, Charlotte's Cecilie Finne-Ipsen (69-67=136), at eight-under-par, has a four-stroke lead on the field.
Tuesday's final round will begin with a 6 a.m. MT shotgun start.
