BOISE, Idaho – Boise State Women's Basketball Thursday announced its seven-member signing class. Set to join the three-time defending Mountain West Tournament champion and two-time defending conference double champion Broncos for the 2020-21 season are, in alphabetical order: Cristina Gil (Barcelona, Spain / Femeni Sant Adria), Elodie Lalotte (Garden Grove, Calif. / Orangewood Academy), Alexis Mark (Chatsworth, Calif. / Sierra Canyon HS), Abby Muse (Brentwood, Calif. / Heritage HS), Anna Ostlie (Scottsdale, Ariz. / Chaparral HS), Mary Kay Naro (Beaverton, Ore. / Beaverton HS), and Raigan Reed (Lake Stevens, Wash. / Lake Stevens HS).

"We're really excited about this year's signing class," said Boise State head coach Gordy Presnell. "I think they will continue the culture we're trying to build here and I think there are great days ahead for us."

Gil, a 5-foot-8 point guard, is the latest talented international to come to Boise State from Spain. Playing her club ball for Femeni Sant Adria, Gil was named the MVP of the 2018 U-16 Spanish Club Championship Game after helping lead the cadet team to the gold medal. Gil averaged 9.6 points per game a season ago for the club's U-18 team.

"Cristina is a combo guard, very aggressive. She's played very well with her club, and we're looking forward to having her here in Boise," Presnell said.

Lalotte is playing her senior season at Orangewood Academy under head coach Leslie Aragon this year after sitting out last year due to transfer rules. Lalotte plays club ball for Cal Swish under head coach James Parker, and is another international standout to join the Broncos, as she came to the United State from France during her prep career. Prior to transferring to Orangewood, Lalotte played a varsity season at JSerra Catholic, averaging 9.2 points and 9.2 rebounds over 25 games.

"Elodie has a gigantic upside. She's very athletic, and is just scratching the surface," Presnell said. "She's only played one season of high school ball, so we really feel that she has a great chance to be a great player."

Mark, a 6-foot-2 forward, transferred to Sierra Canyon and had to sit out half the 2017-18 campaign. She became eligible in time to help Sierra Canyon to a 23-9 record, and in 2018-19 helped lead the Trailblazers to a 33-1 record and the CIF Open Division State Championship. Playing for head coach Alicia Komaki, Mark was part of a Sierra Canyon team that was named the Cal-Hi Sports State 2018-19 Team of the Year. She plays her club ball for Cal Stars Valley Elite and head coach Stan Delus.

"Alexis is very athletic, very bright, and has played at a very high level at Sierra Canyon," Presnell said. "She's going to have a lot of fans here at Boise State."

Muse comes in ranked 96th in ESPN's girl's basketball rankings. A 6-foot-3 forward, Muse was named All-Bay Area honorable mention by the Bay Area News Group last season after leading Heritage to the NCS Open Division championship game.

"Abby is very long, very athletic, a top-100 recruit. She's a shot blocker who can play multiple positions in the post area, and has a really high upside," Presnell noted. "She comes from a basketball family; both of her parents played at UC Santa Barbara."

Naro, a 5-foot-11 point guard, helped lead Beaverton to the Oregon 6A semifinals a season ago, averaging over six assists a game to go with eight points a game. Named to the All-Metro League Team for the second-straight season, Naro is coached by her parents, John Naro and Kathy Adelman Naro, and is the granddaughter of former NBA player and head coach Rick Adelman.

"Mary Kay's a long, pure point guard. She comes from a great basketball family, and has great skills, she's a good passer, and I look forward to her continuing her point guard play here at Boise State," Presnell said.

Ostlie, according to Presnell, is a pure shooter in the mold of current Bronco senior Riley Lupfer. A 5-foot-8 guard, Ostlie averaged over 18 points per game last season, hitting 53 3-pointers after hitting 54 as a sophomore in 2017-18. Her performance as a junior earned her a spot on the Arizona Republic's All-Arizona Team.

"Anna is very similar to Riley Lupfer, she's a pure shooter. She has a great work ethic and has led her team to a state championship. We're really excited about adding Anna," Presnell commented.

Reed comes from a Lake Stevens program under head coach Randy Edens which previously produced former Broncos Brooke and Brittany Pahukoa. A 5-foot-7 guard, Reed averaged 12.6 points and 3.4 assists a year ago, after averaging 15.4 points a game as a sophomore.

"Raigan is a natural athlete and it looks like the game is very slow to her. She just buzzes by people," Presnell said. "She's athletic, can shoot the 3, she can drive, she makes the extra pass. A really, really good player."
