BOISE, Idaho – Boise State women's basketball has added guard CJ Latta to its roster, head coach Gordy Presnell announced Monday.
Â
Latta, a 5-foot-10 guard, joins the Broncos after spending one season each at San Diego State and Utah State. With the Aztecs last season, she appeared in 33 games, averaging 2.8 points and 1.2 rebounds per contest while shooting 38.8% from the field and 37.1% from beyond the arc. She was part of a dominant San Diego State squad that posted a 19-1 Mountain West record and captured the regular-season title.
Â
"We are so excited to add CJ to our team," Presnell said. "Bringing the Idaho 4A Player of the Year back to her home state is huge for our program and we are thrilled to have her as a Bronco."
Â
A native of Paul, Idaho, Latta has two years of eligibility remaining. She becomes the second transfer addition for the Broncos this offseason, joining Grace Foster.
Â
During her freshman campaign at Utah State, Latta appeared in all 31 games with 26 starts, averaging 9.1 points in 32.3 minutes per game. She led the Aggies with 56 made 3-pointers, 2.3 assists per game, and a 1.3 assist-to-turnover ratio. Her 9.1 points per game ranked third among true freshmen in Mountain West play.
