BOISE, Idaho - Shawn Garus, Boise State head volleyball coach, announced the names of this year's recruiting class with the signing of Ashley Hayden and Chey Jones to National Letters of Intent to play for the Broncos in 2020. Hayden is a five-foot-10 setter out of Phoenix, Ariz., while Jones is a six-foot-four outside hitter from Maple Valley, Wash.Â
"This recruiting class addresses our needs as we graduate setter Cassedi Simon and outside hitter Janell Walley," Garus said. "Ashley is a talented setter that plays for high level club and high school teams. Ashley is already running a fast offense which will help her fit in our gym right away. She plays club for Carl DeFriez at Revolution Volleyball Academy, which is the same club that Sierra Nobley (Bronco alum) played for. Chey has elite size as a 6-4 outside hitter who also plays beach (volleyball). She competes hard day in and day out, and is comfortable playing a big role for her team. Chey also plays club for a good team in Boost Volleyball Club under coach Aaron Peters."
