BOISE, Idaho – The Boise State volleyball program welcomed four transfers from Division I schools this week, head coach Shawn Garus announced.

The newest Broncos are libero Melia Barlow (Chandler, Ariz.), middle blocker Athena Cox (San Diego, Calif.), outside hitter Amelia Hansen (Monument, Colo.) and setter Tehya Maeva (San Diego, Calif.).

Barlow played two seasons at Northern Arizona. As a redshirt sophomore in 2025, she led the Lumberjacks with 430 digs and 3.74 digs per set and helped NAU capture the Big Sky regular season championship.

Cox played in five matches as a true freshman for Cal Baptist before suffering a season-ending injury. She was a CIF San Diego Section All-Star as a prep senior at Academy of Our Lady of Peace.

Hansen redshirted at SMU in 2025. At Palmer Ridge High School, she recorded over 1,000 kills in her career and helped lead her team to a state championship as a junior.

Maeva paced Syracuse with 1,004 assists and 9.2 assists per set in 30 matches last season as a junior. Prior to her time with the Orange, she spent two seasons (2023-24) at Nevada.
