TICKETS: Tickets start at $20 for adults, with discounts available for juniors and seniors. Tickets can be purchased online at BroncoSports.com/tickets, over the phone at 208-426-4737, in person at the Boise State Athletics Ticket Office on the west side of Albertsons Stadium or on game day at the ExtraMile Arena Box Office.

DOUBLEHEADER DISCOUNT: The men's game will be the second half of a Broncos-Cougars doubleheader, with the Boise State women taking on Washington State at 5 p.m. All fans who arrive to the women's game before halftime will receive admission to both games for the price of a women's basketball ticket.

ABOUT THE COUGARS: BYU is off to a 3-1 start, most recently earning a 72-71 road win at Houston when senior guard TJ Haws beat the buzzer for the game winner. Haws is among three Cougars averaging double-figure scoring through four games. BYU's lone loss came at the hands of Mountain West foe San Diego State, 76-71, Nov. 9 in Provo. The Cougars are under the direction of first-year head coach Mark Pope, who led Utah Valley to three postseason appearances.

SERIES HISTORY: Wednesday marks the 14th all-time meeting between Boise State and BYU on the hardwood, and the first since 2008. BYU leads the series 9-4. Boise State is 3-2 in home games against BYU, including victories in back-to-back seasons in 2006 and 2007. The 2008 meeting was the last of a six-year series spanning from 2003-08. The teams are scheduled to play again next year in Provo.

MARQUEE MATCHUP: Wednesday's game is the eighth time a Boise State home nonconference game has been picked up by a Mountain West television rights partner since the Broncos joined the league prior to the 2011-12 season, including three in the last five years by CBS Sports Network.

HOT START: Redshirt junior Derrick Alston, Jr. is averaging 25 points per game through the first three games of the year, the top mark in the Mountain West and No. 13 nationally. Alston has scored at least 22 points in each of Boise State's first three games. He is the first Bronco to score at least 20 points in each of the first three games of a season since Roberto Bergersen did so in the first three games of the 1998-99 season. Alston joins Bergersen and Gregg Bunn (1971-72) as the only three players to score 20 or more points in Boise State's first three games of a season in the program's entire history as a four-year institution (since 1968-69). Neither Bergersen nor Bunn continued their streaks in the fourth game of the season.

RECORDS LOOMING: Justinian Jessup enters Wednesday's game with 235 career three-pointers - No. 5 in Boise State history. Jessup needs 41 more triples this season to break Anthony Drmic's career record of 275. With 65 more three-pointers, Jessup will become the first player in Mountain West history to reach 300. The conference's current record holder is BYU's Jimmer Fredette (2007-11) with 296. Jessup has made at least 87 each of the last two seasons.
