BOISE, Idaho -Â Having already wrapped up the Mountain West's Mountain Division, the Boise State football team, ranked Nos. 19 and 20 in the Coaches and Associated Press Polls, respectively, will close the regular season with a trip to Fort Collins, Colo., for a Black Friday match-up with Colorado State, Nov. 29. The Broncos and Rams are slated to kick at 1:30 p.m. at Canvas Stadium, and the game will be nationally televised on CBS Sports Network.
MW CHAMPIONSHIP
Following the regular-season finale at Colorado State, the Broncos will host Hawaii in the Mountain West Championship, Dec. 7. Kick is scheduled for 2 p.m. at Albertsons Stadium. The Broncos and Rainbow Warriors met earlier this season, a 59-37 Bronco victory, also in Boise.
WINS OVER BOWL-ELIGIBLE TEAMS
Boise State has defeated six bowl-eligible teams this season, tied for second-most nationally with LSU and Ohio State. Only Georgia (seven) has more wins. The only two Group of 5 schools ranked ahead of the Broncos – Cincinnati and Memphis – have four and three such wins, respectively.
THE SERIES
Boise State is a perfect 8-0 against Colorado State, including a 4-0 mark in road games. In the only previous meeting at Canvas Stadium, the Broncos overcame a 25-point deficit – on multiple occasions – to defeat the Rams in overtime, 59-52.
NON-SATURDAY GAMES
Boise State is 60-17 all-time in non-Saturday games, including a mark of 35-9 in regular-season Friday-night match-ups. The Broncos have won six-straight Friday-night games, with the last loss coming to Virginia, Sept. 22, 2017 (42-23). The Broncos won their last Friday-night road match-up – against New Mexico, Nov. 16, 2018 (45-14).
BLACK FRIDAY
Boise State is 3-3 all-time on Black Friday, and 1-3 in road games. The sole road victory came Nov. 27, 2015, at San Jose State (40-23). The losses came at 13th-ranked Hawaii in 2007 (39-27), at 19th-ranked Nevada in 2010 (34-31, OT) and at Air Force in 2016 (27-20).
DAY GAME
Friday's game against Colorado State is just the second day game for the Broncos in 2019, and the first since the season opener against Florida State. Boise State has not played a conference road game dur-ing the day since 2017, against Fresno State – a game the Broncos lost 28-17, having already wrapped up control of the both the Mountain Division and hosting the conference championship game the fol-lowing week against the Bulldogs.
CLOSING WITH CONSECUTIVE ROAD GAMES
Boise State will close the 2019 regular season with a pair of road games, the first such occurrence since 1991 and just the fourth in school history. Boise State lost both such games in both 1978 and 1991, and won each such contest in 1968 – the Broncos' first season of playing as a four-year institution.
WINNING CONSISTENTLY
With its overtime victory over Wyoming, Boise State cemented its 22nd-consecutive season with a winning record, the longest active streak in the nation, the 15th-longest streak in NCAA history and the longest by a Group of Five school all-time. Notre Dame (42; 1887-1932) owns the longest streak in NCAA history, and Boise State entered the 2019 season tied with Ohio State (1967-87), Penn State (1967-87), Washington (1977-97) and USC (1962-82).
