BOISE, Idaho – Boise State senior gymnast Shani Remme was named second-team All-America on beam during the regular season by the Women's Collegiate Gymnastics Association, the organization announced Tuesday.
This is the second-straight season Remme has been honored, as she also garnered second-team honors in the all-around this past season.
Remme, whose season was ended due to injury in week seven, ranked fifth nationally on beam at the time of her injury with a regional qualifying score of 9.915. Despite not competing for the remainder of the season, she concluded the regular season in a tie for 12th.

The most decorated gymnast in Boise State history, Remme won back-to-back Mountain Rim Gymnastics Conference Gymnast of the Year honors in 2017 and 2018, and was also the conference's freshman of the year in 2016.
Earlier this season she was named a nominee for the AAI Award, regarded as the Heisman Trophy for women's collegiate gymnastics.
In six meets prior to her injury, she had recorded five all-around victories, giving her 21 for her career – a school record. She had also recorded five victories on beam, four on floor, two on bars and one on vault.
