Hugo Townsend Wins Idaho State Amateur

SUN VALLEY, Idaho – Boise State's Hugo Townsend shot a 4-under 68, Sunday in the final round of the Idaho State Amateur to win the tournament in come-from-behind fashion.
Townsend won the championship with a 10-under, 206, besting Colt Sherrell of Moscow by two strokes.
Townsend entered the day at 6-under, one shot back of fellow Bronco Skyler Eubank and Sherrell. He pulled even on the first hole when he birdied, Sherrell made par and Eubank double-bogeyed. Eubank struggled in the final round with a 4-over 76 to finish in fifth place at 3-under, 213.
Sherrell jumped out to a three shot lead over Townsend at the turn with four birdies and a bogey on holes 2 through 9 while Townsend stay steady with eight-straight pars.
After both players bogeyed on No. 11, Townsend pulled even at 8-under with birdies on 13 and 15 while Sherrell bogeyed the par-4, 15th hole.
Townsend took the lead with a birdie on 16 and his advantage grew to two shots when Sherrell bogeyed 17. Townsend sealed the victory with a birdie on the final hole.
Boise State's Brian Humphreys was third at 5-under, 211 after a 5-under 67, Sunday. Josh Gliege and Connor Johnstone tied for sixth at 1-under, 215 with a 73 and 75, respectively in the final round.
