BOISE, Idaho – Former Boise State men's basketball standout Justinian Jessup was selected as one of 30 honoreesby the Professional Basketball Combine (PBC) for its 2020 class. PBC, a secondary NBA Draft Combine, is in its fourth year and serves to identify under-the-radar talent and maximize their pre-draft exposure.

The organization typically hosts a showcase event at the Mamba Sports Academy. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, PBC is unable to hold an in-person combine this year. Instead, 24 former NCAA student-athletes and six international players will be identified as PBC honorees. Without the in-person scouting, PBC staff is working diligently to relay information to decision makers in the NBA, G League and professional leagues around the world about the abilities each honoree possesses and their potential fit at the next level.

The PBC began transitioning to virtual scouting over the summer, and featured Jessup on its 2020 NBA Draft Remote Film Room series in June.

Alumni from PBC's first three years have combined to earn 40 NBA Summer League invitations, 35 G League contracts and 10 two-way NBA contracts, while 99 percent of participants have signed a professional contract.

Last month, Jessup signed his first professional deal, becoming the latest Next Star in Australia's National Basketball League. He inked a contract with The Hawks in Australia's top league, while maintaining the ability to be selected in the upcoming NBA Draft. If chosen, an NBA team could elect to place Jessup with The Hawks for the upcoming season.

Jessup capped his illustrious Boise State career as the top three-point shooter in school and Mountain West history, making 325 triples, including a single-season school-record 98 three-pointers this year. Jessup is the only player in Boise State history to amass 1,500 points, 500 rebounds, 250 assists, 150 steals and 50 blocked shots. He also set the school's single-season free throw percentage record as a senior, making 70-of-73 attempts (95.9 percent).
