Bronco Winning Streak Snapped at Air Force

USAFA, Colo. – Boise State women's basketball dropped its first road game of the season, 76-52 at Air Force, Wednesday.
With the loss, the Broncos (5-1, 2-1 Mountain West) saw their 13-game winning streak snapped. Air Force (3-5, 1-2) defeated Boise State for just the second time in 22 meetings.
Jade Loville, Boise State's leading scorer, tallied a game-high 16 points on 8-for-15 shooting.
Both teams started slowly with neither team scoring until Alexis Mark scored inside for the Broncos at the 7:37 mark of the first quarter. Loville added a pair of baskets in the next minute to give Boise State a 6-0 advantage.
The Falcons put together a 9-3 spurt to pull even 9-9, but the Broncos led 17-14 after 10 minutes as seven players scored for the Blue and Orange in the opening stanza.
Loville scored on the first possession of the second quarter to increase Boise State's lead to 19-14. The Falcons then outscored the Broncos 22-5 to take a 36-24 lead at the half.
Boise State pulled within 10 twice in the third quarter before Air Force used a 28-6 run to lead 72-40 with 6:42 remaining in the game.
From there, the Broncos' bench performed well scoring 10 of Boise State's final 12 points while holding the Falcons to one field goal and four points the rest of the way.
The teams meet again, Friday at 2:30 p.m.
