BOISE, Idaho - Boise State Athletics announced the official launch of the What's Next Initiative - a strategic roadmap to enhance the trajectory and sustainability of Bronco Athletics for years to come. As the landscape of college athletics continues to shift, the What's Next Initiative provides a multi-year plan to position Boise State as a leader in the industry by strengthening four key areas: infrastructure, revenue generation, student-athlete experience and marketability.

The first steps include beginning the renewal process for 2022 football season tickets and the unveiling of a robust Bronco Athletic Association membership drive. Future updates will be announced as progress is made in each area.

Short-term objectives include finalizing departmental restructuring; enhanced BroncoLife programming; a review of the pending facilities assessment; and expanding the department's Name, Image and Likeness program to provide best-in-class opportunities and education for Boise State student-athletes. Additional goals and objectives in each area of emphasis are available at BroncoSports.com/WhatsNext.

"I am excited to announce our roadmap to securing a promising future for Boise State Athletics," said director of athletics Jeramiah Dickey. "Our potential is limitless. Boise State University is the heartbeat of the fastest-growing metropolitan area in the country and Bronco Athletics is the front porch of our institution and our state. An investment in Boise State student-athletes is an investment in our community."

In conjunction with the What's Next Initiative, the Bronco Athletic Association is setting an ambitious goal to grow its membership, introducing Horsepower: A Drive to 10,000 BAA Members. The Horsepower Membership Drive aims to increase BAA membership from its current total of 4,085 members to 10,000 members by Sept. 1, 2025.

The drive includes a launch challenge - a goal to cultivate 1,000 new members by the end of 2021. A number of special offers are available to Boise State supporters who join the drive early. All new members who join by Friday will receive a free ticket to Boise State's final home game of the season Saturday, against New Mexico.

Membership in the BAA is open to everyone and begins with annual contributions as low as $25. As part of the What's Next Initiative, the BAA membership levels have been restructured and simplified.

Boise State also set a goal of reaching 100 Lyle Smith Society members by the end of 2021. The Lyle Smith Society is a leadership giving society established in December 2020 to meet the greatest needs of Boise State Athletics. There are currently 88 members who have joined with a minimum pledge of $25,000.

Current BAA members can participate in the drive by buying or renewing season tickets, increasing their existing giving and recruiting and referring new members as Bronco Ambassadors. All Bronco Ambassadors will receive a custom link to share with prospective members and earn additional benefits and priority points each time a new member joins via the link.

Season ticket renewals for the 2022 football season are now available. Starting with the 2022 season, all Boise State football tickets have a built-in scholarship seating contribution, which qualifies every season ticket holder as a BAA member.

New season tickets are also available now and it has never been easier to become a Boise State football season ticket holder. A $1 deposit is your first step to securing a spot at all six home games for the 2022 season. Non-BAA members can join by purchasing season tickets or starting on a payment plan.
