Stetz Named to Watch List

BOISE, Idaho – Boise State offensive lineman Jake Stetz was named to the 2021 Outland Trophy Watch List, the Football Writers Association of America announced.
The Outland Trophy Watch List recognizes 80 returning standout interior linemen representing all 10 Division I FBS conferences and independents. The 2021 season continues a celebration of the award's 75th anniversary and the watch list presents a talented field of players.
Stetz was an All-Mountain West Second-Team honoree in 2020 and Preseason All-MW this year. In addition, he was named to both the Phil Steele and Pro Football Focus Preseason All-MW First Teams.
The San Marcos, Calif., native garnered Athlon Preseason All-MW Second-Team honors and was just one of three Broncos to start every game on the offensive line last season.
He joins defensive back Kekaula Kaniho (Jim Thorpe Award Trophy and Lott IMPACT Trophy), wide receiver Khalil Shakir (Biletnikoff Award and Maxwell Trophy) and running back George Holani (Doak Walker Award) as Broncos on 2021 preseason watch lists.
