It features 31 matches, two home tournaments and 15 home contests.

BOISE, Idaho - Boise State released on Friday the 2021 fall volleyball schedule featuring 15 home matches, highlighted by Pac-12 members Utah and Oregon State. In addition, the 31-match schedule includes two home tournaments and the return to the traditional 18-match Mountain West Conference slate.

Unlike last spring's (fall 2020) schedule that had teams playing twice at one location, this year the MW returns to the normal format where you play two different teams in a week. This year the Broncos will play Fresno State and Utah State once each while playing the other eight teams in the MW twice in home-an-home series.

This year's action starts at home with the Boise State Invitational August 27-28. The Broncos will host Dixie State out of the Western Athletic Conference, the Big West Conference's Long Beach State and Montana State from the Big Sky.

Week two (Sept. 3-4) will have the Blue and Orange traveling to southern California for the UCI/Adidas Invitational at UC Irvine. Boise State will face three schools in Irvine starting with the Big Sky's Southern Utah followed by UC Irvine of the Big West and George Mason from the Atlantic 10.

The third week (Sept. 10-11) will see the Broncos on the road for the second straight week when they travel to the Sacramento State Invitational in northern California. While in Sacramento, Boise State will take on the West Coast Conference's Pacific Tigers, then the CSUN Matadors (Cal State Northridge) from the Big West, followed by their host and Big Sky member Sacramento State.

The Broncos will start the fourth week of action by hosting the Pac-12's Utah Utes on Monday (Sept. 13). The final week of nonconference action will conclude with the Boise State Classic (Sept. 16-18). This year's field features the West Coast Conference's Santa Clara Broncos and Oregon State Beavers from the Pac-12.

Mountain West action begins the week of September 23-25 with the Blue and Orange on the road for two big contests at perennial league favorite Colorado State and Wyoming.

The other Bronco conference road trips include traveling to Air Force and New Mexico Oct. 7-9, at Fresno State Oct. 21, at UNLV and San Diego State Oct. 28-30 and at Nevada and San Jose State Nov. 11-13.

Boise State will step outside league play one more time in October. When the Broncos travel to Fresno State on  Oct. 21 (Thursday), they will follow that up with a drive north on I-5 to Sacramento State on Oct. 23.

The Blue and Orange open league play at home with San Jose State and Nevada Sept. 30 and Oct. 2. The Broncos will then host San Diego State and UNLV Oct. 14-16, Utah State on Oct. 19, New Mexico and Air Force Nov. 4-6 and then conclude the regular season at home versus Wyoming and Colorado State Nov. 18-20.

This year also marks the return of the MW Conference Championship tournament Nov. 24-26 hosted by UNLV at the Cox Pavilion in Las Vegas. Only the top-six teams will advance to the league's first conference tournament since the fall of 2011.
