BOISE, Idaho – Boise State setters Elle Cotton and Lilli Etter were named 2025-26 Academic All-District, selected by College Sports Communicators (CSC), on Tuesday.

The pair of Broncos not only piloted Boise State this past season, in which the Broncos won 20 matches, but they also led the way in the classroom. Etter, a marketing major, had a 3.75 cumulative GPA during the fall 2025 semester, while Cotton, an engineering major, posted a 3.68 GPA.

Etter, a sophomore, and Cotton, a senior, were first and second, respectively, in assists this year for the Broncos. Etter had 719 assists in 119 sets played (6.04/set) as well as 277 digs and 19 aces. Cotton, meanwhile, totaled 589 assists in 119 sets (4.95/set) with 179 digs and a team-best 33 aces.

Etter and Cotton helped the Broncos finish second in the Mountain West and 32nd in the nation in total assists with 1,507.

For Cotton, this is her second career CSC Academic All-District nod, and for Etter, it is her first.

CSC Academic All-District honorees were considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America ballot as well. Out of the finalists announced on Tuesday, first-, second- and third-team Academic All-America honorees will be announced in January 2026.

The Academic All-America Team selected by CSC has been honoring outstanding academic and athletic achievement by student-athletes throughout the landscape of college sports since 1952.
