Broncos take fourth and sixth in two competitions.
The Boise State Cheer squad returned home after two top-10 finishes at the 2022 UCA College Cheerleading National Championships Jan. 13-16.
The Broncos competed in both the 1A Game Day Division and the 1A Small Coed Division. They finished sixth place in 1A Game Day competition which featured 18 teams from the American Athletic, Big Ten and Southeastern Conferences, to name a few. Boise State was the only Mountain West team to qualify to finals. It was also the squad's highest finish in program history for this particular competition.
Boise State also finished fourth in the 1A Small Coed Division. This division had 11 teams competing and once again the Broncos were the only Mountain West squad to qualify for the finals. Schools in this division came from Conference USA, Big Ten, American Athletic and Sun Belt Conferences. This marked the first time in program history that the squad advanced to the finals of this competition and the fourth-place finish was the highest ever.
