BOISE, Idaho – For the second-consecutive season, Boise State junior Jonah Dalmas was named one of 20 semifinalists for the Lou Groza Collegiate Place-Kicker Award, the Palm County Sports Commission announced Thursday.

Established in 1992, the award is presented annually to the nation's top collegiate place-kicker and has become the most prestigious college football award for kickers.

Dalmas has been tabbed the Mountain West Special Teams Player of the Week three times so far this season and also earned Lou Groza "Star of the Week" honors following his flawless performance at Air Force (Oct. 22).

Against the Falcons, the Meridian, Idaho native tallied 13 of the Broncos' 19 points. He was 4-for-4 on field goals, including connecting on a 51-yard attempt, tying his career-long.

Dalmas' career field goal percentage of .887 (47-of-52) ranks second nationally among active kickers, and his 47 field goals are third-most all-time in Boise State history.

Finalists will be announced, Nov. 29, and honored at the 31st annual Lou Groza Collegiate Place-Kicker Award Banquet, Dec. 5, in Palm Beach County. The winner will be revealed live on ESPN during the Home Depot College Football Awards, Dec. 8.
