Ohlinger, Bartsch and Kaminski Earn Postseason MW Honors

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Boise State's Lauren Ohlinger and Paige Bartsch have been named to the Mountain West Women's Volleyball All-Conference Team, while Annie Kaminski earned honorable mention status, as announced by the league office on Wednesday. Ohlinger and Bartsch joined 16 other student-athletes from across the league who made up the 18-member squad as selected by the conference's head coaches. Kaminski was one of six to receive honorable mention recognition.Â

This marks the third time that Ohlinger – senior outside hitter – has earned postseason All-MW accolades, while it is the first for Bartsch – sophomore rightside hitter.

Ohlinger is a senior who just completed her final season wearing the blue and orange. The native of Phoenix finished the regular season with 367 kills overall (7th MW), 3.25 kills per set (7th MW), 42 service aces (1st MW), 0.37 service aces per set (1st MW), 439 points (5th MW) and 3.88 points per set (8th MW).

She had 18 matches with double-digit kills and nine with double-doubles.

The senior outside hitter finished her career ranked third all-time at Boise State for kills (1,358), third for kills per set (3.33), seventh for service aces (135), and ninth for aces per set (0.33). She set the school's rally-scoring era (2001-present) records for career service aces and aces per set, as well as finishing third for total points (1,611.5). Other MW postseason career honors included being named the 2019 Mountain West Freshman of the Year.
Meanwhile, Bartsch is a sophomore who finished the regular season leading the MW for kills (3.95) and points (4.55) per set. She also ranked third in total kills (419) and points (482).Â

In addition, the Helena, Mont., native led the conference during league play for total kills (276), kills per set (3.89), points (318) and points per set (4.48).

The 2021 MW Freshman of the Year tallied 24 matches in double-digit kills – seven with 20-plus – and had 11 double-doubles. She led the team in kills 17 times and points on 19 occasions.
Kaminski earned All-MW Honorable Mention after leading the league in hitting percentage at the end of the regular season at .398 percent; it also ranked 19th nationally and was second all-time in program history. Overall, she tallied 204 kills on 402 attacks to go with 95 blocks. During conference play, Kaminski was second in hitting percentage at .420 percent with 120 kills.
