Lady Rebels Rally Past Broncos

BOISE, Idaho – UNLV erased an eight-point third quarter deficit with a 17-0 run and remained atop the Mountain West standings with a 69-52 win over Boise State, Wednesday.
 
Abby Muse scored a game-high 15 points for the Broncos (8-15, 4-8 MW). It was her fourth-straight game scoring in double-figures. Rachel Bowers added nine points and a team-high nine rebounds in 19 minutes for Boise State.
 
After spotting UNLV (19-4, 11-1) the game's opening bucket, Boise State went on a 14-1 run while holding the Lady Rebels without a field goal for 7:22. Muse and Bowers combined for 14 points in the opening period and the Broncos led 16-7 after 10 minutes.
 
The Lady Rebels roared back in the second quarter to pull even at 22, but a free throw by Dominique Leonidas and a layup by Trista Hull put the Broncos up by three at intermission.
 
The Broncos travel to Logan, Utah for a meeting with Utah State, Saturday at 2 p.m.
