Boise State Alumni Team Accepted into TBT’s 64-Team Field

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M., June 22, 2022 – The Basketball Tournament (TBT) – the $1 million, winner-take-all summer basketball event broadcast live on ESPN networks – revealed on Wednesday, that Once A Bronco, the Boise State alumni team, has been accepted into TBT's 64-team field for the first time. Once A Bronco will be competing in the New Mexico Regional hosted by The Enchantment, a University of New Mexico alumni team, at The Pit in Albuquerque, N.M. from July 18-21.
Once A Bronco is organized by former Boise State players Thomas Bropleh and Wes Perryman. The team's head coach will be Reggie Larry, and Anthony Thomas will serve as the assistant coach. Once A Bronco's current roster includes:

  • Thomas Bropleh (2010-14)
  • Ryan Watkins (2010-14)
  • Derrick Marks (2011-15)
  • Kevin Allen (2014-15)
  • Montigo Alford (2014-16)
  • Alex Hobbs (2016-20)
  • Zaid Hearst (Quinnipiac)
  • Jordan Madrid-Andrews (Chicago State/Richmond)
  • Mogga Lado (Campbell)
Select team members will descend upon Boise for a training camp the week of July 11, prior to departing for the New Mexico Regional. The participating Boise State alumni will take part in a community service event in the Treasure Valley, as well as multiple meet-and-greet opportunities during the week of the training camp. Details will be made available in the coming days. Fans will also have the opportunity to help offset Once A Bronco's tournament expenses through merchandise and other offers.

In Albuquerque, the No. 7 seed Once A Bronco will take on No. 2 seed Challenge ALS in the team's first-round game on Monday, July 18 at 3 p.m. MT. If Once A Bronco advances to the second round, they will face the winner of No. 3 seed L.A. Cheaters and No. 6 seed Ram Up (Colorado State alumni) on Tuesday, July 19 at 5 p.m. MT.

The New Mexico Regional championship game is Thursday, July 21 at 7 p.m. MT.

TV information for the New Mexico Regional will be released shortly.

The winner of the New Mexico Regional will head to UD Arena in Dayton, Ohio for Championship Week. Quarterfinal games are July 28-29. The semifinal round and the $1 million winner-take-all championship game will be July 30 and Aug. 2 at UD.
