TORONTO – Former Boise State men's basketball standout Abu Kigab has agreed to join the Toronto Raptors for the NBA 2K23 Summer League 2022.

A native of St. Catharines, Ontario, Kigab joins his "hometown team" after a stellar final season as a Bronco in which he averaged 14.8 points, 5.7 rebounds and 2.4 assists on his way to All-Mountain West Second Team honors.

Kigab was a pivotal piece in the Broncos' historic 2021-22 season in which they claimed the MW regular-season championship outright. Kigab was named the 2022 MW Championship Most Valuable Player after averaging 14.7 points, 4.3 rebounds and 4.3 assists per game over a three-day run to lead Boise State to its first conference tournament title since joining the MW. In the Broncos' first NCAA tournament appearance since 2014, Kigab led Boise State with a 20-point effort, one of five 20-point performances in his final eight games of the campaign.

Kigab represented Team Canada at the 2017 U19 World Cup in Cairo, Egypt, where he averaged 14.7 points, 10.6 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game to help lead Canada to its first FIBA U19 World Cup gold medal.

The 2022 edition of the summer tournament is set to take place July 7-17 at the Thomas & Mack Center and Cox Pavilion in Las Vegas. Dates and broadcast information for Toronto's first four pool games can be found below.
