Broncos Headed to Texas for South Padre Island Classic

SOUTH PADRE ISLAND, Texas – Boise State women's basketball will travel to Texas in December to compete in the South Padre Island Classic, hosted by the University of Texas-Rio Grande Valley.
The Broncos will open the event with a game against the host school on Dec. 19 at 5 p.m. MT. The squad will conclude the trip with a matchup against Texas A&M-Commerce on Dec. 20 at 2 p.m. MT.
Both games will mark the first meeting between the Broncos and the two programs. The Vaqueros finished 14-19 in the 2021-22 season, finishing 8th in the WAC. The team ended its season winning four of its last six games, including two wins in the WAC Tournament. The Lions will make the full transition to the Division I level this season after finishing 27-5 and making it to the second round of the Division II National Tournament last year.
All contests will take place at the South Padre Island Convention Centre and will be broadcast in the United States on ESPN+. International fans can watch on WAC International.
The full Bronco schedule will be released later this summer.
