BOISE, Idaho – Boise State Athletics set the department's all-time single-year fundraising record with $24.1 million in total support during the 2022 fiscal year, director of athletics Jeramiah Dickey announced Monday. The announcement arrives on the heels of last week's University-wide celebration of an overall institutional annual fundraising record of $56.5 million.
The department's fundraising efforts, led by the Bronco Athletic Association, realized a 66% growth in total support over the last year, increasing from $14.5 million to $24.1 million. Gifts and commitments contributing to the milestone achievement include the BAA annual scholarship fund, per-seat contribution and parking gifts, sport-specific enhancement funds, annual athletic endowment distributions and philanthropic giving to the Lyle Smith Society.
"We are incredibly grateful to the thousands of Bronco Nation donors and BAA members who have already answered our call for support, which directly impacts the student-athlete experience," said Dickey. "The substantial philanthropic growth we're experiencing is raising the bar and I believe we've only scratched the surface of what we can accomplish as we build for future success."

Lyle Smith Society Continues Its Rapid Growth
Since its inception in December 2020, 169 Lyle Smith Society commitments have combined for more than $22 million in donations over the next five years.
Lyle Smith Society membership begins with a minimum pledge of $25,000 over a five-year period or donating an annual cash gift of $25,000 or more.
"Today's announcement embodies the true meaning of teamwork. I'm extremely proud of our BAA team, led by Mike Keller and Molly Lenty, which also includes our major gifts unit as part of our ongoing partnership with University Advancement," said Cody Gougler, Senior Associate AD for External Affairs. "Revenue generation is a critical pillar of our What's Next Initiative and will inherently impact our ability to carry out the vision of our recently-launched Playbook for Success."
Playbook for Success
In April, Boise State introduced the Playbook for Success, highlighted by the recommendation for an Athletics Master Village. The comprehensive facilities vision includes 12 key facility priorities Boise State deems critical when positioning itself for future successes and sustainability.
The introduction of a future Athletics Master Village followed Boise State's recent launch of the Horsepower Drive for 10,000 BAA members, which includes a goal of 200 Lyle Smith Society members by 2023 and 25,000 football season tickets to be sold by 2025. Fans excited about the future vision of Bronco Athletics are encouraged to purchase season tickets, join the stampede for 10,000 BAA members or review the multiple philanthropic options available through the Bronco Athletic Association.
