LOGAN, Utah – Four Boise State gymnasts accounted for five Mountain Rim Gymnastics Conference Specialist of the Week Awards following their performances against Southern Utah (Jan. 27), the conference announced Monday.

Juniors Emily Lopez (vault and bars) and Courtney Blackson (bars), sophomore Emma Loyim (beam) and senior Adriana Popp (beam) represented the Broncos in the weekly awards for week four.

Lopez recorded a 9.850 for the third-straight meet on vault, sharing the conference's high score with a duo of gymnasts from BYU (Kylie Eaquinto and Allix Mason).

Blackson and Lopez swept the bars accolades, accounting for a pair of 9.925, helping Boise State to a season-best performance on the apparatus against the Thunderbirds.

On beam, the Broncos secured a season-high 49.300, led by two 9.925 from Loyim and Popp. Elease Rollins (BYU) and Sofi Sullivan (Utah State) also achieved 9.925.

Lopez has captured seven weekly awards through the first three meets of the season, including a trio of honors on vault. This was the first weekly award nod of 2023 for Blackson, Loyim and Popp.

Next, Boise State hosts its second meet of the season, Friday, Feb. 3 against Utah State. The conference opponents are scheduled to begin the competition at 7 p.m.
