Tyler Crowe Nominated for Burlsworth Trophy

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Boise State running back Tyler Crowe has been selected as a nominee for the 2023 Burlsworth Trophy, the Burlsworth Foundation announced.

The Burlsworth Trophy is awarded annually to the most outstanding FBS player who began his career as a walk-on. Crowe, a native of Nampa, Idaho, accepted a spot on the team as a walk-on in 2019. After playing his first season as a linebacker, he switched to running back for his redshirt freshman season. In 2021, he earned a scholarship. He is one of 73 players nominated this year.

The redshirt senior has played in six games this season, totaling 29 rushing yards and 21 receiving yards. He has also contributed on special teams, playing on the Broncos' kick return and punt coverage units. In his career, he has totaled 343 all-purpose yards and 11 tackles. A product of Skyview HS, Crowe is a three-time Academic All-Mountain West selection and three-time Mountain West Scholar-Athlete.
