Former Bronco Great, Sierra Nobley Named to MW 25th Season Team

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Former Boise State standout Sierra Nobley has been named to the Mountain West 25th Season Volleyball Team, the league announced, Tuesday.
 
The team was selected by the MW 25th Season Committee as the conference celebrates its excellence on and off the field of play.
 
Nobley, who was a four-year starter at outside hitter from 2014-17, is the most decorated player in program history. At the national level, she is a three-time AVCA All-America Honorable Mention, three-time AVCA All-District and one-time honorable mention all-district honoree.
 
The native of Scottsdale, Ariz., was named the 2016 MW Player of the Year, becoming the first Bronco in history to earn conference player of the year recognition. She was also the 2014 MW Freshman of the Year and a four-time All-MW honoree; the second person in program history to be named all-conference four times and the only one during the MW era.
 
At the time of exhausting her eligibility in 2017, she owned the MW records for career kills with 1,925 – currently second – career kills per set at 4.53 and career points with 2,157 – currently second. Nobley was also ranked second for kills in a season with 522 in 2016 – currently third.
 
Nobley set 23 schools records during her tenure with the Broncos, 16 of which still stand. She can also be found in the top 10 of numerous other school records.
 
She was also a standout in the classroom as a two-time College Sports Communicators (formerly CoSIDA) Academic All-District honoree. In addition to being named Academic All-MW and MW Scholar-Athlete three times each.
