WHAT'S NEXT: Boise State men's basketball opens the 2023-24 season on Tuesday against Vanguard, Nov. 7, at 7 p.m. at ExtraMile Arena. The game will be televised in Southern Idaho on KTVB and streamed on the Mountain West Network.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENT: Tuesday's season opener is a counting game for the Broncos. The Lions are in the first of a three-year transition period from the NAIA to NCAA Division II. This season they are competing in the NAIA – a division they won a national title in 2013-14 with a 32-6 record.

THRICE AS NICE: Boise State is seeking its third-straight trip to the NCAA Tournament – a feat which has never been accomplished in program history. Four of the nine appearances in March Madness have come under the direction of head coach Leon Rice – the all-time wins leader and winningest coach in program history.

INTO THE FIRE: The Broncos open 2023-24 with back-to-back games at home. Tuesday's opener is followed by a 2 p.m. tipoff against San Francisco on Sunday. The Dons were picked third in the WCC and begin a stretch of at least five-straight opponents ranked in the top 100 of KenPom for Boise State.

GUESS WHO'S BACK: Boise State returns All-Mountain West players Tyson Degenhart (first team) and Max Rice (second team) from last year's squad, as well as Chibuzo Agbo – he started 33 games in his first season in the Blue and Orange.
