Broncos Predicted to Finish First in MW Preseason Poll

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Boise State gymnastics was selected to finish first in the Mountain West Preseason Coaches' Poll, the conference announced Tuesday.
The Blue and Orange received three first-place votes with 30 points, finishing above San Jose State (24), Utah State (18) and Air Force (12).
The Broncos will take part in the inaugural Mountain West women's gymnastics season.
"We cannot wait for the season to begin," said head coach Tina Bird. "It is a thrill to be ranked first in the Mountain West preseason poll and we are looking forward to this inaugural year!"
Key returners for Boise State include All-American duo Courtney Blackson and Emily Lopez, along with All-Mountain Rim Gymnastics Conference beam second-team honorees Emma Loyim and Adriana Popp.
Blackson was crowned the national runner-up on vault, posting a 9.925, while Lopez finished 18th on the bars with a score of 9.900.
The Broncos will begin the 2024 season with a dual in Salt Lake City against No. 4 Utah on Jan. 5. Boise State will also be hosting an intrasquad meet on Dec. 21 at ExtraMile Arena, with free admission.
