Bronco Comeback Stopped Short Against Ranked Rams

BOISE, Idaho. – The Boise State women's tennis team won back-to-back singles matches in the late stages but ultimately fell 4-2 to 63rd-ranked Colorado State Sunday afternoon at the Appleton Tennis Center.
After the Rams (14-7, 3-5 MW) jumped out to a 3-0 lead, Joana Baptista put the Broncos (9-10, 2-6 MW) on the board with a three-set victory at the No. 3 slot. Nicole Discenza followed suit by notching a three-set victory of her own on court two, cutting the deficit 3-2 as the final two matches entered the third set. Lorelyz Marruffo evened her final set on court two 4-4, but Colorado State's Zara Lennon won the final two games to secure the overall victory.
