USAFA, Colo. – The Boise State women's tennis team was defeated by Air Force, 4-1, Friday afternoon on the road.

The Falcons (8-9, 4-1 MW) were on the board first after claiming the doubles point with wins on courts one and two, taking the lead over the Broncos (9-7, 2-3 MW). Air Force followed it up with wins on singles courts five and six, extending its lead 3-0.

With the match on the line, Boise State's Lorelyz Marruffo extended it with a three-set victory on court two, but the Falcons closed out the match by winning at the No. 3 slot.

"It was a super tough match in tough conditions for our first outdoor match of the season," said head coach Beck Roghaar. "Shout out to Air Force for not giving us an inch today, they played really well. We battled to give ourselves a chance at the end but the conditions got the better of us today against a good team."
