Charles Hired as Director of Operations

BOISE, Idaho – Boise State men's basketball has announced the addition of Matt Charles as the program's new director of basketball operations, head coach Leon Rice announced.
Charles will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the basketball office, including travel and equipment arrangements. He will also coordinate Bronco men's basketball institutional camps and clinics.
"We're excited to welcome Matt to Boise as our new director of operations," said Rice. "He's worked with one of the great coaches and programs with Mike Boynton at Oklahoma State, and his experience and energy will make a great impact on our Bronco Family!"
A two-time graduate from Oklahoma State, Charles most recently served as a graduate assistant with the Cowboys. In that role he assisted with scouting opponents for a team which finished in the top 15 nationally in defensive efficiency, and he also worked in player development and team travel.
Charles moved into the graduate assistant role after a four-year span as a manager for the program while he pursued his undergraduate degree.
In 2021, Charles was a support staff member with USA Basketball's U-16 team training camp.
