Sixteen Broncos Named Scholar-Athletes

ITHACA, N.Y. - The Boise State gymnastics team had 16 student-athletes earn 2022-23 Academic Scholar-Athlete honors, the Women's Collegiate Gymnastics Association (WCGA) announced Wednesday.

"I am very proud of my student-athletes for their dedication to their academics," said head coach Tina Bird. "Their success in the classroom will benefit them in life after gymnastics."

Student-athletes earned WCGA All-America Scholar Athlete recognition by either compiling a 3.5 cumulative GPA or achieving a 3.5 GPA in the 2022-23 academic year. This year, 1,056 student-athletes achieved a 3.5 GPA or better, making this the third year in a row over 1,000 student-athletes earned the award.
