Bronco Athletics Announces Gameday Promotions for Football

Invitation for fans to help revive Bronco Fan Friday

BOISE, Idaho – Boise State Athletics announced its promotional calendar for the 2023 football season. The department is also working with campus partners to revive a long-held Treasure Valley tradition of designating each Friday, "Bronco Fan Friday" athletic director Jeramiah Dickey announced Wednesday.

"We invite Bronco Nation to join us and show your pride every Friday by wearing Bronco gear or flying a Bronco flag," said Dickey. "We are excited to represent the Gem State and are grateful for Bronco fans in the Treasure Valley, throughout Idaho, and beyond."

Fans are invited to visit Boise State's new official online team store or stop by one of the Bronco Shop retail locations to secure the latest gear for game day.

The Bronco football team will open the season Sept. 2, on the road against No. 10 Washington (2:30 p.m. MT; ABC). The team's home opener is set for Saturday, Sept. 9, against UCF. The color scheme for the home opener is a Blue Out.

In other fall sports competitions, Bronco volleyball takes on Idaho State on Friday, August 25 at 7 p.m., at Bronco Gym, where all fans are encouraged to wear blue. The first 50 fans to attend the match will receive a Boise State Blue Chaos T-shirt.

Boise State soccer will host 11th-ranked BYU on Saturday, Aug. 26, at Boas Soccer Complex, with kickoff at 7 p.m. Single-game tickets for the match are sold out. Free parking and shuttle pickup are located at 1218 W. Belmont St., with every fan receiving a free popcorn voucher for taking the shuttle.

Single game soccer tickets, other than Saturday's game, volleyball, and football tickets are available online at BroncoSports.com, over the phone with the Boise State Athletic Ticket Office at (208) 426-4737, or in person at the Boise State Athletic Ticket Office located at the southwest corner of Albertsons Stadium.
