BOISE, Idaho - Carly Cross, a junior on the Boise State soccer team, has been named the Ford Boise State Student-Athlete of the Week for the week of Sept. 6-10.

The forward led the Broncos in their 4-3 win against Eastern Washington, Sept. 7, recording three goals. She knocked in a cross from Morgan Padour in the match's first five minutes and found the back of the net again off an assist from Kenzie MacMillan less than five minutes later.

Eastern Washington opened the second period with a quick goal, but Cross responded moments later with a shot from deep range to give the Broncos a 4-2 lead.

Cross was the first Bronco to record a hat trick since Raimee Sherle did it against New Mexico on Nov. 7, 2019, and is now sixth all-time in fastest to three goals in a single match by one player. The Anaheim, Calif., native is only the sixth Bronco to record a hat trick in her career.

Following her performances over the weekend, Cross was named the Mountain West Offensive Player of the Week, the first in her Boise State career.

The Blue and Orange will host Pac-12 opponent Oregon on Thursday, Sept. 14, at 5 p.m. at Boas Soccer Complex to close out nonconference play.
