Quotes
- "I thought our energy carried over from a good tough match against LMU last night," said head coach Shawn Garus. "We came out really aggressive today and sustained it throughout. So, I'm really happy with the victory."
- "I think the outside hitters have really grown a lot; we've worked on managing sets and learning about different situations," said Garus. "Anabel (Kotzakov) is a true freshman, and Paige (Bartsch) has never really played outside. So, they're learning how to limit their errors and pick their spots on when they're going to be aggressive and when they're going to be patient and be willing to win a rally. I love seeing the growth of those two."
- "I also think that Noelani (Helm) is doing a really good job of getting the balls in situations where her teammates can score," Garus said. "It was a good effort by the three of them."
- "Things that I thought worked well for me tonight were hitting high hands off the block, working with wrist action and deep corners, and serving hard tonight. I loved the crowd, especially the little kids who came up after the match and asked us to sign all their stuff. They bring a great atmosphere and energy."
Notes
- Bartsch's 21 kills gave her three matches this fall and 10 in her career with 20-plus; it also tied for the fourth most kills for a three-set match during the rally-scoring era (2001-present) at Boise State.
- Mitchell has led (tied once) the Broncos in digs in every match this season. She now has eight contests in double-digit digs and five matches with 15 or more; the 19 tonight are the second most for her this year.
- The win ties the series up at one win apiece with South Dakota State.
- There were 1,185 tickets sold for tonight's contest. Â
