
Bartsch Tabbed MW Player of the Week

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Boise State junior Paige Bartsch has been named the Mountain West Offensive Player of the Week, the league office announced Monday. The award marks the second MW Player of the Week honor in her career.
Bartsch had a record-breaking week for the Broncos (6-6, 2-0 MW) last week. She recorded seven aces against Colorado State on Thursday, breaking a program-record for most aces in the rally scoring era. She also netted 24 kills against the Rams, totaling 33 points in the match.
The Helena, Mont., native followed up with a career-high 30 kills against Wyoming on Saturday. Bartsch also put up a solid defensive showing against the Cowgirls, piling up 10 digs in a dominant 3-1 victory.
Bartsch tallied 6.0 kills per set on a .239 hitting percentage over the two matches. She also racked up 18 digs (2.00 per set) and 10 service aces (1.11 per set). The junior currently leads the nation in aces per set (0.76), is second nationally in points per set (6.14) and ranks third in kills per set (5.16).
The Broncos will hit the road as they look to remain undefeated in conference play, taking on Air Force, Thursday, before facing New Mexico on Saturday.
