Broncos Capture Quartet of MW Weekly Awards

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Senior Emily Lopez garnered two Mountain West Specialist of the Week awards, while senior Courtney Blackson and junior Emma Loyim earned one weekly honor following their performances in the Broncos' home opener on Jan. 19.

Lopez was tabbed the Bars Specialist of the Week for the third week in a row, scoring a season-high 9.950 on bars, and the Co-Beam Specialist of the Week, tallying a season-high mark of 9.925. Lopez won bars and tied for first on beam. These are her team-best 18th and 19th career weekly conference honors.

Blackson earned Co-Vault Specialist of the Week after tying for first with a season-best score of 9.900. This is her 10th weekly conference accolade and second time collecting an award for vault.

Loyim was named Co-Beam Specialist of the Week for matching her career-high score of 9.925, tying for first with Lopez. This is the third weekly conference award for the Mountain Lakes, N.J. native and her second time earning an accolade for beam.

Boise State will be back in action at ExtraMile Arena as they welcome Iowa State for a dual on Feb. 2 at 7 p.m.
