Remensperger Earns Third MW Freshman of the Week Honor

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Boise State's Kiki Remensperger has been named the Mountain West Freshman of the Week. This is the third MW Freshman of the Week honor for the San Diego, California, native.
Remensperger played a huge role in the Broncos' road split against Colorado State and Wyoming over the week, recording a double-double in the win at CSU and the first Boise State triple-double in 14 years in the loss at Wyoming.
While splitting time between setter and outside hitter, she tallied a combined 16 kills while hitting .333 percent. She also added team-highs for assists with 57 and service aces with three and had 42 digs, three block assists, and 20.5 points.
In the win at CSU, Remensperger recorded a team-high 31 assists with a then-career-best 16 digs for her fifth double-double of the season, to go with four kills, a team-high (tied) two service aces, and one block assist for 6.5 points.
In the match at Wyoming, Remensperger recorded the first Boise State triple-double since November 2011. She had career-highs for kills with 12 and digs with 26, as well as a team-high 26 assists. In addition, she hit a career-best .440 percent, had one service ace, two block assists, and a career-high 14 points.
Remensperger and her teammates will be home this week when they host Nevada at 7 p.m. on Thursday and Utah State at noon on Saturday; both contests will be held in Bronco Gym.
