Broncos in the NFL: Week Nine

BOISE, Idaho – Boise State will be represented by 11 former players in Week Nine of NFL action. All 11 former Broncos will play on Sunday, with nine competing during the early window. The full schedule can be found below.
SUNDAY
Buffalo Bills (Khalil Shakir) vs. Miami Dolphins – CBS, 11 a.m.
Last Week: Shakir had a career-high nine catches, totaling 107 yards. He picked up a pair of first downs, including a 35-yard reception to set up a Buffalo field goal. The Bills defeated the Seattle Seahawks, 31-10.
Los Angeles Chargers (Scott Matlock) at Cleveland Browns – CBS, 11 a.m.
Last Week: Matlock was a strong contributor on both sides of the ball, recording his first-career sack and catching a 9-yard pass. The Chargers beat the New Orleans Saints, 26-8.
Las Vegas Raiders (Alexander Mattison) at Cincinnati Bengals – FOX, 11 a.m.
Last Week: Mattison totaled 44 yards from scrimmage as the Raiders lost to the Kansas City Chiefs, 27-20.
Atlanta Falcons (Avery Williams) vs. Dallas Cowboys – FOX, 11 a.m.
Last Week: Williams tied for the team-high with 21 special teams snaps. He had a 14-yard punt return to set up an Atlanta scoring drive. The Falcons beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 31-26, placing them atop the NFC South standings.
Washington Commanders (John Bates, Jeremy McNichols) at New York Giants – FOX, 11 a.m.
Last Week: Bates had a season-long 20-yard reception while McNichols made a special teams tackle and recorded a 23-yard kick return. The Commanders defeated the Chicago Bears on a Hail Mary, winning 18-15.
Denver Broncos (JL Skinner) at Baltimore Ravens – CBS, 11 a.m.
Last Week: Skinner played 18 special teams snaps, downing a punt at the 1-yard line. Denver defeated the Carolina Panthers, 28-14.
Tennessee Titans (John Ojukwu) vs. New England Patriots – FOX, 11 a.m.
Last Week: Ojukwu returned from the practice squad and played 29 snaps at right tackle for the Titans. Tennessee lost to the Detroit Lions, 52-14.
New Orleans Saints (Cedrick Wilson Jr.) at Carolina Panthers – CBS, 11 a.m.
Last Week: Wilson Jr. was not active for the Saints. New Orleans lost to the Los Angeles Chargers, 26-8.
Jacksonville Jaguars (Ezra Cleveland) at Philadelphia Eagles – CBS, 2:05 p.m.
Last Week: Cleveland played 39 total snaps for the Jaguars, who totaled 390 yards of offense. Jacksonville lost to the Green Bay Packers, 30-27.
Minnesota Vikings (Brett Rypien) vs. Indianapolis Colts – NBC/Peacock, 6:20 p.m.
Last Week: Rypien did not play in Minnesota's 30-20 loss to the Los Angeles Rams.

Led by Spencer Danielson in his first full season, Boise State looks to become the first Mountain West program to win back-to-back championships since San Diego State did so in 2015-16. Achieving such a feat will put Boise State in the discussion for the new, expanded, 12-team College Football Playoff format beginning this fall. Last year, Danielson became the first coach in college football history to win a conference championship with an interim title.
