BOISE, Idaho – Boise State women's golf head coach Kailin Downs announced the signing of Jaime Hards and Callia Ward to the team's 2025 class.
Hards brings a wealth of accomplishments from her time playing in Australia. In the last two years, she has won the South Australian Junior Amateur, Alice Springs Women's Open, Drummond Golf Cup, Tea Tree Gully Vardon and West Lakes Vardon.
"We are so excited to have Jaime join us from Australia. She has a great junior golf resume and we are looking forward to her being a Bronco," Downs said.
A native of Adelaide, Australia, Hards is a two-time champion at the A Grade Women's Pennants. She received Australian Junior Interstate honors three times and was named the South Australian Women's Pennant Best Team Player as a sophomore. That year, she also won the U16 Championship and Junior Open.
Hards attends Adelaide High School and will graduate in the spring. She plans to major in Psychology at Boise State. In 2022, she earned the Outstanding Academic Achievement Award. She served on the Student Representative Council from 2020-21 and spent time as a drummer at the school.
Ward has a plethora of golf experience, playing in 23 states and three countries. She recently competed in the USGA Girls Junior Amateur Qualifier, tying for fourth. She was the runner-up at the FCG Montana Championship, a feat she achieved three months prior at the FCG Texas Championship.
"Callia has a very clear passion for the game of golf. I am looking forward to her coming in and making an immediate impact on our program," said Downs.
A native of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Ward also finished second at the 2024 IMG Junior World Qualifier and 2023 Junior America's Cup Qualifier. She also collected runner-up finishes at the AJGA Colorado Springs Junior Qualifier and MCI Mack Champ Invitational. In 2022, she was the Notah Begay III Junior Golf Tour champion.
Ward will graduate from Laurel Springs School in the spring. When she was in eighth grade, she competed at the high school level, leading the team to a state title with a runner-up finish. The team repeated as state champions the next season, with Ward placing third and earning all-conference and all-state honors for the second-straight year.
"We are excited to continue building the success of the program with the addition of these two next fall," Downs said.
