WHAT'S NEXT: Boise State women's golf will travel to Denver for the Ron Moore Intercollegiate, Oct. 2-4. The Broncos will play one round each day at University of Denver Golf Club. Boise State tees off at 10:20 a.m. on Friday. Saturday's tee times range from 8:30-10:40 a.m., depending on results from the first round. The final day will have an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start.

LAST TIME OUT: The Broncos captured the team title at the Kalispel Invitational, carding an 861 (-3) to win by 14 strokes. Leia Chung won the individual crown with a 212 (-4), her school-record fifth career title. Teal Matsueda and Chloe Jang tied for fifth while Callia Ward (12th) and Jillian Hui (T-20th) rounded out the lineup. The Broncos' three-round score is the sixth-lowest in school history. The team also notched the third-best two-round score in program history, tallying a 575 (-1) through 36 holes.

RISE OF CHUNG: Leia Chung had an unparalleled 2025-26 season. Chung was an NCAA Regional Individual qualifier and Mountain West Champion who accumulated four top-10 finishes, including three tournament titles. The Wahiawa, Hawaii native was the recipient of the Kim Moore Spirit Award, presented to an athlete who exemplifies a great spirit toward the game of golf. Chung also holds the school's lowest career scoring average (72.81) and single-season scoring average (72.10 in 2023-24).

YEAR SIX AT THE HELM: Head Coach Kailin Downs is in her sixth season leading Boise State. Since she took over in 2021, the Broncos have notched four of the top five single-season scoring averages in program history, including a program-record 293.34 in 2023-24. Boise State has won a team title in five straight seasons under Downs. Last year, Downs led the Broncos to school records for single-round score (276, -12) and 36-hole score (561, -15) at the New Mexico State Golf Iconic Classic.

IN THE RECORD BOOK: Two Broncos, Teal Matsueda and Jillian Hui, are significantly featured in the Boise State record book. Matsueda holds the second-best career scoring average with a 73.72 and Hui follows in sixth with a 75.56. Hui is tied for third for individual low round, shooting a 66 (-6) on Oct. 21, 2024 at the Boulder Creek Invitational, while Matsueda is tied for sixth, shooting a 67 (-5) on Oct. 13, 2025 at the NMSU Golf Iconic Classic.
