
Bartsch Named AVCA All-Region

BOISE, Idaho - Boise State's Paige Bartsch has been named to the American Volleyball Coaches Association All-Northwest Region team, as announced by the organization Tuesday morning. The honor marks the third time Bartsch has received AVCA postseason recognition following honorable mention all-America and all-region honors in 2023.
The native of Helena, Mont., is the 10th Bronco all-time to earn all-region honors and the first since Jessica Donahue during the 2020-21 COVID season.
The senior right side hitter was named first-team All-Mountain West this fall and the MW Preseason Player of the Year. Â

On the year, Bartsch was fifth in the MW and 58th in the NCAA for total service aces at 46, seventh in the league and 65th nationally for service aces per set at 0.42. She was ninth in the MW in kills with 408 and kills per set at 3.74, third for points per set at 4.52, and seventh for total points at 493.
Bartsch closed the regular season, recording six contests with 20-plus kills and nine with 20-plus points.
She led the Broncos in kills in 22 of 29 matches, in service aces 11 times, digs on two occasions, blocks in four, and points 22 times.
The outside hitter also set the school Rally Scoring Era (since 2001) record for career service aces with 137. She finished her career third for career points with 1,792 and career kills with 1,509.
Her other honors included 2023 AVCA All-American Honorable Mention and all-region honorable mention accolades, 2023 Mountain West Volleyball Co-Player of the Year; she was the second Bronco in program history to receive player of the year accolades. She was also the 2021 MW Freshman of the Year and a three-time All-MW honoree.
