Senior Duo Collects MW Weekly Honors

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Seniors Courtney Blackson and Emily Lopez each earned a Mountain West Specialist of the Week honor following their performances on the road against Southern Utah on Feb. 9.
Blackson was named the Vault Specialist of the Week, scoring a season-high 9.950 on the apparatus. The Elk Grove, Calif., native won vault for the second time this season, now having three event wins this season and 13 in her career. This marks her fourth weekly conference honor of the 2024 campaign and 12th of her career.
Lopez was tabbed the Bars Specialist of the Week for the fourth time this season after scoring a season-high 9.950 on bars. She notched her third win of the year on bars, extending her career total to 10 with five total wins this season and 21 in her career, both team-highs. This is her team-best 20th career weekly conference award.
Boise State will return to ExtraMile Arena for a tri-meet on Friday, Feb. 16 at 7 p.m., where they will host nonconference opponents Sacramento State and Southern Utah.
