BOISE, Idaho – Boise State ended the first half on a 16-0 run to take a 14-point lead into the lockerroom at halftime, and never relinquished its lead en route to a 94-56 win over Air Force, Saturday at ExtraMile Arena.
Tyson Degenhart scored 20 points in the first half, including 10 in the final 4:36 of the period. The 20 points are the most he's ever scored in the first half in his career. His 3-pointer from the left wing with 1:26 left in the period pushed the Boise State (16-6, 7-2 MW) lead into double figures.
Air Force (8-13, 1-8 MW) attempted 30 3-pointers on the day, but were held to 4-of-15 from beyond the arc in the second half.
The Broncos' offense was firing on all cylinders, averaging 1.6 points per possession. Boise State 60% from the field, 55.6% from beyond the arc and 86% from the free throw line while turning over the ball only eight times.
