He will play an instrumental role in fundraising for Unbridled: The Campaign for Boise State and the What's Next initiative

BOISE, Idaho – Boise State Athletics has named Bryan Beals as associate athletic director for development Jeramiah Dickey, director of athletics, announced on Tuesday.

Beals had been managing the department since August 2023 when he was named interim associate athletic director, following the departure of Mike Keller. Beals will oversee the major gift fundraising team for the athletic department as well as serve as a senior development director for Boise State University Advancement.

"Bryan will continue to play an integral role in leading our major gifts team and as a member of our athletics senior staff," said Dickey. "As we look forward to what's next, philanthropy through the Lyle Smith Society will continue to drive critical athletics initiatives, such as scholarships, facility enhancements, and student-athlete programming."

The promotion for Beals opens the development director position, the frontline fundraiser for Bronco Athletics. The University is actively recruiting applicants for the position. All qualified and interested parties are encouraged to apply.

Beals arrived at Boise State in September 2021, as a director of development overseeing fundraising for multiple sports programs. He raised north of $3 million for the University, with the majority coming to the athletic department. He was instrumental in fundraising for new stadium lights at the Boas Soccer Complex and expanding membership of the Lyle Smith Society from 70 to over 230 active members.

Before joining the Broncos, Beals spent five years in various roles at the University of Washington. He served as assistant director of athletic fund development, in which he planned and executed a $3 million annual fund campaign for 20 of the Huskies sport programs.

Beals graduated from Oregon State with bachelor degrees in accounting, finance, and international business administration and a minor in economics. He is currently pursuing his MBA through Boise State with an expected graduation date of May 2024.
