Pasco Named MW All-Conference, Muse on All-Defensive Team
LAS VEGAS – Natalie Pasco was named to the All-Mountain West Team and Abby Muse was selected to the MW All-Defensive Team as part of the 2024 All-MW recognition the conference released on Sunday.
Â
Pasco becomes the first Bronco to earn a spot on the All-MW team since Jayde Christopher and Riley Lupfer received first team honors following the 2019-20 regular season. Muse and Elodie Lalotte received honorable-mention nods last year.
Muse was named to the MW All-Defensive Team for the second-straight year, becoming the first Bronco to be recognized on the team in back-to-back seasons.
Â
Pasco is having a consistent season donning the Blue and Orange, leading the team in scoring with 13.4 points per game. A member of the MW All-Freshman team a season ago, the Danville, Calif., native has led the Broncos in scoring in 19 of the team's 31 games, and scored 20 or more points on the season five times.Â
Â
The sophomore is deadly from beyond the arc, leading the league in total 3-pointers (75) and is second in 3-pointers per game (2.4) and 3-point percentage (39.7%). She has hit five or more 3-pointers five times on the season, and her 75 3-pointers on the season are currently the seventh-most in program history.
Â
The 2022-23 MW Defensive Player of the Year, Muse led the league in total rebounds (265), total blocks (87) and blocks per game (2.8.) while sitting in second place with 8.5 boards per game. With 87 blocks on the season, the Brentwood, Calif., native is chasing her own program-record of 93 blocks that she set last season. Muse is currently fourth in the nation in total blocks and ninth in blocks per game.
Â
The Broncos will kick off the 2024 MW Women's Basketball Championship tonight at 8 p.m. MT. Boise State, who enters the tournament as the No. 6 seed, will face off against No. 11 Utah State. The game will be broadcast on the MW Network and on 670 KBOI AM.
